10-50 SEEDS<br>Echium wildpretii is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae.<br>It is an herbaceousbiennial plant that grows up to 3 m (10 ft) in height.<br>The species is endemic to the island of Tenerife, and is found mainly in Las Cañadas del Teide.<br>Tower of Jewels - is a rare beauty with a stunning 6 to 9 foot tower of flowers.<br>The massive stalk contains hundreds of blooms in eye-opening cerise-pink, which attract birds and bees all spring.<br>The plant grows in the subalpine zone of the ravines of Mount Teide.<br>It requires a lot of sun and is found in arid and dry conditions, but it tolerates frost down to -5 C.<br>The blooms are grouped in clusters which open in waves, for a long show of color.<br>This vivid shade is quite unique for Echiums.<br>Each 5-petaled bloom is tipped with white anthers, which make the "jewels" sparkle!<br>The plant usually dies after flowering, leaving behind many seeds.<br>This was an endangered species not long ago, but it's making a comeback on the Canary Islands thanks to efforts to save it.<br>This plant can be used as a garden ornamental where it may be intolerant to a low temperatures.<br>grows well in a large pot.<br>It needs fast-draining, rocky soil, such as cactus soil.<br>
